Disability Care

Our Day Centres

Our Day Programs are built around meaningful, enjoyable participation in group and individual activities, helping participants feel engaged, valued and included. Our qualified, caring staff focus on building social and everyday life skills in a relaxed, welcoming environment where people can be themselves and enjoy their time with us.

Disability Care

Our Program Activities

Our Day Program is a structured yet flexible service offering a range of activities tailored to each participant’s interests, abilities and goals. Whether it is building new skills, socialising with peers or enjoying recreational activities, our programs are designed to foster independence, confidence and stronger community connections.

We offer a variety of activities designed to enrich each participant’s day, including:

Music for Wellbeing

Music sessions are designed to support emotional, social and mental wellbeing, creating a calming, enjoyable space for participants. With support from our staff, activities can be tailored to individual preferences and offered one-to-one, in small groups or in larger group settings.

Creative Art Sessions

Our creative art sessions provide a relaxed space for self-expression through activities like painting, drawing and craft. With gentle support from staff, participants can explore their creativity, build confidence and share their work in a positive, non-judgemental environment.

Board Games

We provide a range of board games that offer fun, social connection and gentle cognitive stimulation for participants. Our staff support each session to encourage inclusion, positive engagement and plenty of shared laughs

Leisure Activities and Life Skill Development

We support participants to build practical life skills with real-world benefits, including road safety, using public transport, positive communication, handling money and building confidence with everyday technology. Our aim is to help each person feel more engaged, independent and connected within their community.

Who Can Join?

Our Day Programs are open to NDIS participants and individuals with disabilities who are looking for structured daytime activities, social connection and support with everyday skills. Whether you want help with daily routines, to build confidence in the community or simply to spend time with others in a supportive environment, we tailor participation around your needs and goals.

How to Get Started

Joining an AB Nurses Day Program is a straightforward, supported process designed to help you get the most from your NDIS funding and your time with us. We will talk through your goals, review your plan, tailor a program around your needs and support a smooth transition into activities that build independence, social connection and personal growth.

Reach out to our friendly team at AB Nurses to talk about your goals, interests and what you are hoping to gain from a Day Program. Whether you are seeking more social connection, skill-building opportunities or structured daytime support, we can walk you through the options and how they may fit with your NDIS funding.

Check Your NDIS Funding

Before you start, it is important to confirm that your NDIS plan includes funding suitable for Day Program participation. Our team can help you review your plan, understand what is covered and, if needed, support you to request changes or a plan review so your funding better matches your goals.

✨✨

Personalised Assessment

Once your funding is confirmed, we will complete a personalised assessment to understand your support needs, interests and daily routines in more detail. This allows us to shape a Day Program schedule that fits you—whether you are most interested in social activities, skill-building sessions or more therapeutic, wellbeing-focused supports.

✨✨✨

Join the Program

After your assessment, we will confirm the details and set up a Day Program schedule that works best for you, whether that is a few days a week or more regular attendance. Our team supports a gentle, well-planned transition so you feel welcomed, comfortable and supported from your very first day.

✨✨✨✨

Ongoing Support and Progress Monitoring

We are committed to your ongoing growth and wellbeing, checking in regularly to see how you are finding the program and to adjust activities as your needs or goals change. We work alongside you and your support network to make sure you continue to get value, enjoyment and positive outcomes from your Day Program.
